Marvelous
Mermaid Volunteer
Imagine!
A mermaid welcomes you to your Dive Into Reading Book Fair.
She acts as your tour guide, showing you an exciting array
of children's literature and books for the whole family.
How
do you transform a volunteer greeter into a mermaid? It's easy with
our terrific no-sew pattern. In less than two hours, you can put
together this fun apron costume using hot glue. To make the apron,
download the
patterns (PDF) for a shell bodice, scales, fins, and tail and cut
them out of brightly colored felt. Stuff the tail with cotton batting.
Decorate with sequins and baubles. Add a felt starfish or fish for
that underwater look!
