Dog-Gone Fun & Games
Catch kids having fun and make your Fair a GRR-reat time!
Animal
Face Painting
Assign a volunteer to turn students into dogs, cats, and other
animals with face paints. Invite students to dress as their pet
in a special costume contest.
Stuffed Animal Pet Parade
Invite everyone to a different kind of pet show - one that features
stuffed animals. Clear a small area where students can parade
their animals before a panel of judges. Award prizes for most
unusual, largest pet, smallest pet, best pet trick, and best-trained
owner.
In
the Doghouse
Create a cardboard or painted backdrop and label it "The
Doghouse." Students (and even parents and teachers) can take
turns having their photo taken "in the doghouse."
Bone Bounce
Purchase dog biscuits and a dog dish. Have children kneel facing
away from the dish and toss biscuits over their shoulder. Children
who land a bone in the dish win a prize.
Rover's
Reading Corner
Create a comfy space by putting some dog beds (pillows and bean
bag chairs) in a corner of the room where young readers can curl
up with a good book.
