The Ship and the Sea
The
Ship on the wall is constructed of wide strips of black and
brown paper, separated by a white stripe (leftover wallpaper works)
edged on each side with half-inch gold ribbon. For the ship's prow
(front), taper the shape as shown, and mount a stick for the nautical
nose.
At the front of the boat, sea foam of cotton batting laps
the base of the prow, and floats against the wall's sea of bright
blue paper, complete with stylized waves.
The off-the-wall ocean is a sea of blue tablecloth, paired
with a length of blue knit that has a lustrous, reflective, wavelike
pattern running through it. Add discount-store fish to add flavor.
